Blythswood Square

Blythswood Square is owned by The Town House Company and is due to open early 2009. This is the first time that the company, established in 1990 by Peter Taylor has ventured out with Edinburgh where it owns four properties - The Bonham, Channings, The Howard and The Edinburgh Residence.

When complete, the Georgian building will be a five star property with 88 luxury bedrooms, plus suites, a penthouse and apartments, and will incorporate many aspects of the original building. It will also house a state-of-the art spa and extensive conference facilities.

Peter Taylor, Chairman of The Townhouse Company, commented on the choice of name for the hotel: 'Blythswood Square was actually one of the first names we considered. We believe that the building is a landmark in Glasgow city centre and that the name reflects its historical significance and attractive environment'.
